2x POWDER Magazine Skier's Choice Winner! (2019 & 2020) Designed as a lightweight backcountry ripper, the Seeker became so much more. For the 2020 season the Seeker evolves into an even tougher ski! At 1720 grams (weight based on the 183cm size) the Seeker is respectably light. This we found to be the the ideal weight, light enough for any expedition or traverse but with enough heft to plow through any crud one might encounter at the ski hill. This ski for many of us became the daily driver. A ski with 112mm underfoot seemed large for an everyday ski, but its outstanding torsional rigidity and rocker sidecut profile makes it carve trenches on the hardpack and bust through crud like few skis before it. Of course, skiing the Seeker in powder will make you smile wide. The Tech: Carbon is an excellent reinforcement and the Seeker has 4 layers of it. We are using Triaxial, Double bias, Biaxial and the highest strength IM7 unidirectional weaves in this ski. The carbon combines with a full kevlar laminate underfoot and a high end fiberglass called S2 glass. Our 7 layer construction with opposing weaves and composites creates a quiet at speed, playful and super strong platform that dwarfs the industry standard of 2 layers. Of course only the fastest carbon-impregnated base material is used, stone ground to perfection. The Seeker also uses a resin-infused honeycomb tip and several layers of VDS rubber to control damping and enhance durability. To top it all off and to make our product highly durable, in the sandwich of the cap construction we are using carbon nanotube resin. With billions of carbon nanotubes in the matrix our edges and cap are tougher than anything out there. Tested this past season and stock on all 2020 skis, additional IM7 uni carbon layers have been added on the tip and tail. In addition, a basalt/innegra layer, one of the toughest fabrics on the planet for impact has been added underfoot to fend off those pesky rocks. The Core: The core is the soul of the ski and the Seeker has a special one. Borrowing techniques often employed in bow manufacturing, we bring together many thin layers of grain-optimized Aspen. These are laminated tightly under the binding screws and run the full length of the ski, tip to tail. Then, high quality quarter-sawn Sitka Spruce, that could easily have gone into a guitar, is inserted to lighten the core and smooth out the ride. On top of all that, a piece of quarter-sawn White Oak is top-laminated for binding retention and power transfer to the edges. Rossland and Red Mountain are definitely blessed with some of the hardest charging female shredders on the planet; this is documented. When we set out to make a ski specifically for them, we found in testing that while the most common size in men’s all-mountain/powder skis was in the 185 range, for women it was closer to 170-ish. Starting from there, we developed a design and construction that has been optimized for a lighter, shorter rider who rips. The Transcend embodies the soul and the tech of the Seeker in a ski for the small(er) but mighty! It should be noted that these are generalizations some women prefer the longer stiffer Seeker platform. Our sales also tell us that some men who prefer a slightly softer ski greatly enjoy the Transcend. The 176 transcend out sold the 176 Seeker at a rate of 10:1 for men. The Tech: Carbon is an excellent reinforcement and Transcend has 4 layers of it. IM7 unidirectional and Double Bias weaves make up the four layers of carbon in this ski. The carbon combines with a full kevlar laminate underfoot and a high end fiberglass called S2 glass. Our 7 layer construction with opposing weaves and composites creates a quiet at speed, playful and super strong platform that dwarfs the industry standard of 2 layers. Building on the success of the Manley our 193cm double rockered ski, the Original Sender is a slightly smaller version available only in 186cm. It is a go fast, slash, spin and charge into anything for those who love to butter it up. We think the Slash Family should be the most durable of the lot and we expect to see them take abuse. That is why we have built them with 3 different ballistic fibers running full length above the base: Basalt/Kevlar/Spectra. Carbon can’t be overlooked for its power transfer either so there is some under the core too and it makes up the primary laminates for the top cap combined with a thin layer of S2 Glass to dampen the ride. For skiers looking for the ultimate versatility in their setup, with uncompromising big mountain performance plus the ability to take advantage of true Pin Tech climbing functionality, the Duke PT ushers in a new era. Marker sets yet another milestone, adding to the Royal Family heritage with the introduction of this hybrid freeride binding for the 2020-21 season. The biggest highlight of this new binding is the innovative Quad-Lock Ride & Hike toe. In ride mode, it provides uncompromising downhill performance with full safety release properties up to DIN 16. Switching the binding to hiking mode is simply a matter of unlocking the upper part of the toe piece and rotating it forward. Pin binding technology is integrated into the base plate underneath the toe housing and operates in much the same way as Marker's KingPin and Alpinist models. In uphill mode, you have the option of saving 250 grams weight per foot by removing the toe housing sections and stowing them in your backpack. To switch to downhill mode, the toe housing clicks back onto the base plate. It locks back into place thanks to Auto Quad-Lock technology, just by stepping into the binding, without any extra action required by the skier. Another huge advantage, the Inter Pivot 3 heel piece is the same as that of the new Jester, giving you the security and power transmission of our top of the line Freeskiing bindings while skiing down. The Duke PT also features SOLE.ID technology, just like other products in the Royal Family. This makes the binding compatible with all boot sole types falling under the Alpine (ISO 5355), Touring (ISO 9523), or GripWalk (ISO 9523) norms. LOCK & WALK BRAKE - Including neutral walking mode and 10° climbing aid. AUTO QUAD LOCK - Toe part locks itself at 4 different points automatically when stepping into the binding. RIDE & HIKE TOE - For great Royal Family downhill performance and release function combined with pin-technology for strong uphill performance; DIN 6 – 16 Convertible toe: - Save 300g per foot for the uphill. ANTI ICE RAIL - Use the metal rail to scratch off ice and snow below your boot sole. MAGNESIUM PARTS - Magnesium sole holders in the toe combined with a Magnesium heel housing provide the solid construction for the hardest charging freeride athletes. SOLE.ID - Height-adjustable gliding plate to be compatible with alpine (ISO 5355), touring (ISO 9523), and GripWalk soles. Easy to adjust: Pozi screw at the front to adjust the height of the gliding plate. INTER PIVOT 3 FREERIDE HEEL - The third and newest generation completely redone: improved power transmission, energy absorption, and vertical heel elasticity combined with an improved step-in comfort. AFD GLIDING PLATE - MARKER bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti-friction device) supporting a precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow, and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application enhance optimized functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.

Lightweight - Every gram matters when you bag three peaks on the same day, so with 1,290g on each foot you're not wasting any weight. Downhill Performance - A grilamid cuff and carbon charged rear spine for rearward support, and sensifit shell for power transmission, give you confidence for reliable, fun descents.
