The rim is not drilled, so it doesn't require the use of a rim tape to become airtight: a guarantee for a hassle free tubeless use. The 20 elliptical carbon fiber spokes and high, thin carbon hub flanges offer a proven aero advantage. The spokes are made with unidirectional carbon fibers, so they don't stretch. The spokes run continuously from one edge of the rim to the other, through the hubs (R2R technology), creating one single spoke instead of two. This adds wheel stiffness and eliminates the need to mechanically attach the spokes to the hub. Inside the carbon hub shells, the axles are paired with automatically adjusted sealed cartridge bearings for perfect preload. At the back, the ID360 freewheel system provides instant engagement (40 points of engagement = 9°) and low friction. The hubs are thru-axle compatible (12x100 up front and 12x142 at the back) and made for Center Lock brake rotors. At only 1380 grams, this is the wheel that performance-obsessed cross-country racers dream of. Developed with input from top pro racers seeking a competitive advantage at World Cups and Olympics, it features an ultralight full carbon 29" rim (360g) for fast acceleration and climbing without compromising stiffness and durability. Adaptive layup, a specific carbon layup technology enabled us to handcraft these carbon rims with less material between the spokes. The spoke holes are reinforced with strategically positioned carbon layering in a process that minimizes weight without compromising stiffness and strength. A lighter rim means faster acceleration, more efficient climbing, and a more responsive feel on the trail. The external carbon layer features our new UD² construction for a distinctive look and added durability. Extensive field testing with our pro athletes determined that a 25mm inner width was ideal for a quick, precise ride quality and optimized tire grip on fast racetracks. For more technical trails, some preferred a 30mm width for added control, so we created two options. It's your choice, and you can mix the two if you want. You could choose the Crossmax Ultimate 25 for the rear to boost acceleration and efficiency, and the Crossmax Ultimate 30 for the front to add confidence and control on rugged single-track. The carbon rim is laced with 24 straight-pull double butted spokes (same spoke length throughout), two-crossed for maximum power transfer and enhanced vertical compliance. The new lighter Infinity hub design optimizes lateral stiffness, and the spoke lacing maximizes power transfer. Our Instant Drive 360 freewheel with a double ratchet system provides fast engagement and high stiffness to help you accelerate out of corners faster. The rear hub is compatible with Shimano HG9, Micro Spline and SRAM XD driver bodies. The Crossmax SL Ultimate 30 is available with 6-bolt or center lock brake rotors in 29" only and is compatible with a 15x110 front axle and 12x148 rear. It comes with valves, spare spokes and MTB wheel covers.

Because Terra CLX II is a hooked rim, you're able to ride almost any tire and pressure. Thanks to the 25mm internal width, they work seamlessly with 28-47c tires (up to 80 PSI), giving you options to customize your setup for what's ahead.
