3T started life as a master drop bar manufacturer. Nobody else had the same technical ability to manipulate tubing, and thus 3T became the first company to focus on more ergonomic (i.e. more complex) shapes. The previous generation, the Ergonova, was lauded worldwide as the top ergonomic bar. In fact, it was so good, we didn't touch the center section at all when designing the new SuperErgo. We did change everything else though, ensuring the SuperErgo will continue 3T's streak as the ergo bar of choice for road cyclists. Drop Grip: The gradual change in curvature makes the grips comfortable for hands of all sizes. The tighter top bend ensures the newest Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo shift/brake levers align perfectly for a very comfortable hand position on the hoods. Center Grip: When we surveyed our customers about their desires for this new ergonomic bar, amateur and professionals alike pleaded with us not to change this area at all. It's that comfortable. Thomson custom-drawn alloy drop bars are optimized with performance-based bends, paired with tough, durable features. The lineup includes 3 profiles with varying widths, shapes and flares to meet all disciplines of drop bar goodness. Made from 7000 series aluminum, and sharing the carbon drop bar shapes, the alloy drops feature 3 profiles a mid flat, a round profile, and the flared dirt drop. The mid-flat is minimal in design and big on comfort. The flat diameter stays small enough so to not restrict hand movements when riding on the tops. Concave shaping on the bottom side allows housing to be taped and out of the way. The round profile and flare dirt drop share similar top profiles with custom-drawn ergonomic bends.

FSA's Energy Compact handlebars push aluminum technology as far as it can go. Cutting-edge manufacturing allows us to form and manipulate high-strength 7050 aluminum tubing, varying the wall thicknesses and diameter throughout the bar. There's even an ergonomic flattened section on the tops, either side of the generous central bulge that gives plenty of room to mount accessories. A shallow drop and short reach are ideal for riders looking for a less aggressive riding position.
